Las Vegas Mountain Biking Images
And Weather Conditions
OK, So here it is!!
At lease a start......to the Las Vegas Mountain Biking Images area on my site......I have to be honest. When I first moved to Las Vegas, I was thinking, Hot, hot, hot desert!!!! Well, that is true, but!!!!!!!! Even though I have rode in some hot, dry areas so far, I have learned that "this is summer" . Talking to some other bikers here, all they can say is winter is the greatest time of year. Either way, I must ride year round....and here, I can. The hot places are hot..but you get used to it...trust me...only after 3 weeks here, the heat is manageable. But, I think I have found a slice of Mountain biking heaven here in Vegas. What if I told you that 40. min. away, when it's 110 here, you can ride some of the most beautiful mountain and forest terrain that I have ever seen. And the kicker is....that when it's over 100 here, it's about 75-78 there. On 8-18-00, I showed up there a little early (6am), and unprepared, it was so cool, that I had to leave early. Anyway, check out the MT. Charleston photos....this is the place.!!!! As far as the other trails, well, there is all kinds from mustang trails, (yes, real, live wild horses) Recreational areas to Extreme forest and man-made trails/mountain biking parks.

Cottonwood/Mustang Trails-Nevada
(A.K.A Blue Diamond---These trails can be accessed in a few different places once you are out past the Red Rock Rec. Area, Blue Diamond is one of these places. In Blue Diamond, you will find a bike shop and they have maps of the local trails )
